Cervical cancer prevention is a public health dream: there is a single known causative agent, human papillomavirus (HPV); a highly effective vaccine is available that protects against HPV types responsible for cervical cancer; and 10-15 years typically elapse between the time of HPV exposure to the development of invasive cancer.

Cervical cancer remains the 4th most common cancer globally and kills more than 260,000 women per year. 85% of these women live in low-resource settings where they have little or no access to healthcare.

We can screen and treat women before HPV infection becomes cervical cancer.
